Born on the homestead in Upper Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County on 9 Aug 1808 and raised as a farmer, Solomon spent his life there. He was also a carpenter and built the present residence on the 80 acre farm his father started and Solomon took over by the deed show below. He was an active member of the community, serving many years as Township Supervisor and School Board Member as a Democrat. He was prominent in the Reformed Congregation of St. John's Church at Leck Kill, serving in various official capacities. He was a working member of the Building Committee when the last church edifice was built in 1853. Solomon and Salome spent their lives on the farm at Greenbrier and died there, she on 15 Apr 1867 and he on 12 Feb 1888. They are buried at St. John's Lutheran and Reformed Church, Leck Kill.

This indenture made the Sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine Between Jacob Folck of Upper Mahanoy Township Northumberland County & State of Pennsylvania a farmer of the one part & Solomon Folck of the same said Township County and State aforesaid Carpenter by occupation of the other part: Witnesseth, that the said Jacob Folck for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred and fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto him well and truly paid by the said Solomon Folck at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enscoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enscoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said Solomon Folck and to his heirs and assigns All that certain tract of land situate in Upper Mahanoy Township aforesaid to wit; Beginning at a post thence by lands of John Shaffer south four & half degrees east twenty one perches to a white oak thence north eighty nine degrees east ninety seven perches to a black oak, thence north eight degrees east fifteen perches to a post, thence south eighty six degrees east six perches to a maple, thence by land of Andrew Geist north twenty seven degrees east eighty three perches to a pine, thence by lands of George Keler north twenty seven degrees west eighty perches to a post, thence south eighty seven degrees west forty six perches to a black oak grub, thence north twenty five degrees west three and a half perches to a post, thence by land of John Knorr south twenty two degrees west seventy two perches to a white oak, thence south eighty one degrees west twenty six perches to a post, thence south six degrees east fifty nine perches & a half to the beginning, containing sixty seven acres and sixty six perches of land real measure which said tract is part of a larger tract that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by patent dated the thirth day of June A. D. 1796 did grant and confirm unto Henry Miuiam and to his heirs and assigns which is enrolled in the Rolls office in Patent Book N.29 page 94 and said Henry Miuiam & Catherine his wife by their deed dated the third day of May A.D. 1802 did grant and confirm for the consideration therein mentioned unto John Knorr and to his heirs and assigns forever & said John Knorr & Catherine his wife by their deed dated the 27th day of March A.D. 1806 did grant and confirm unto Jacob Heim and to his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Jacob Heim & Catharine his wife did grand and confirm by their indenture dated the 26 day of June A.D. 1807 to Jacob Folck and to his heirs and assigns forever as may more fully and a large appear in rolls office in Deed Book G pages 347 & 348 dated April 30 A.D. 1810 for the above described tract, together with all and singular the improvements, ways, waters, water courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, dues, rents and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Jacob Folck in law or equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof, To have and to hold the said sixty seven acres and sixty six perches strict measure hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be, with the appurtenances, unto the said Solomon Folck and to his heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Solomon Folck & his heirs & assigns forever. And the said Jacob Folck for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators do by these presents covenant, grant and agree to and withthe said Solomon Folck and his heirs and assigns that he the said Jacob Folck & his heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises hereinabove described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Solomon Folck & his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

WILL OF SOLOMON FALCK, DECEASED
I, Solomon Falck of Upper Mahanoy Township, in the County of Norh'd and State of Pennyslvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made. As to such estate as it hath pleased God to entrust me with I depose of the same as follows, viz: I give and bequeath to my sone Edward a note for six hundred dollars which I hold against him and fifty dollars in money, said money to be paid to him by my executor hereinafter mentioned out of the money that come into his hand as executor. I also forgive unto my son Richard Falck the sum of two hundred and ninety-three dollars for which I hold three receipts against him and bequeath to him seven dollars in money to be paid to him by my executor hereinafter mentioned out of the money that come into his hands as executor. All the rest of my property I may have at the time of my decease, whether real, personal or mixed, shall be converted into money by my executor and not hereintofore given and deposed of after paying my just debts and funeral expenses I give and bequeath to my children Daniel Falck, Andrew Falck, Carlina Smith, married to William Smith, Mary Stomberger, married to G. W. Stomberger, Sarah Reed, Decd., Solmy Diehl, married to Samuel Diehl, John Falck, Molly Broocker, married to Jonathan Broocker, Solomon G. Falck, Amanda Seiler, married to Jacob Seiler, share and share alike. Lastly, I appoint my son John Falck to be executor of this my last will and testament and direct him that when I have reals estate at the time of my decease, to sell the same and give a proper deed for the same. In witness where of, I Solomon Falck the testator have to this my last will written on on sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 11th day of December AD 1886.

Geist and Amos Matern, the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Solomon Falck late of the Township of Upper Mahanoy, County and State aforesaid deceased, who being duly sworn according to law did declare and say that they were personally present at the execution of the same and saw and heard the testator named therein sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of so doing he was of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
